    Weekly Developer Stream Thursday!

    Where to Watch:

    When:

    • Starts at ~3pm PST
    • Lasts for ~1.5-2 hours

    Who:

    • Dana (u/tc-mjrdecision) usually the host
    • Occasionally other developers will join - like a map designer, the PvP lead, etc.
    • Someone typically works behind the scenes to run the stream/chat

    What:

    • The community team discusses any recent news and follows up with a Q/A session
    • Some streams have raffles or "click-to-claim" style prizes available!

    The Rules: In order to condense the number of questions a bit, we have a few rules laid out. These rules are based on what we've experienced in the past, as we've started to learn what TC will and will not answer.

    After playing some Gears 5, I felt inspired to make a custom leader based on the new COG leader Mina Jinn. Of course, I didn’t go too hard and just put what I thought would be fun without thinking too hard on balance and such. Hope you all enjoy.

    Don't think for one second that the Gears Community on Reddit is toxic if you haven't checked out any of the Facebook communities. They're so gross. Nerf the lancer. Franchise is dead. Fix ranked. Gnasher is broken. Horde sucks. Omg.

    I'm glad I come to the Reddit gears page for exactly the opposite. Sure it has its gripes..... But I cherish the advice. The help. The tips. The showoffs. The humor.

    There was this meme of the "Bart, I don't wanna alarm you, but there may be a monkey man or a boogie man in the house" but instead of the last part starting from "but" it's the gears of war 1 Marcus line saying "We have a Berserker in the vicinity" and then Bart screams the berserker scream when she charges at you instead of his normal one. If anyone has this please send this to me or a link I've been looking for a long while.

    I feel like we need a new Engineer

    I know, technically, any character can be used for fortifications and base vitality, but besides Del and Jack, there isn't much diversity. I feel like we need at least one more Engineer class to join. Who though? I dunno....if Griffin's voice actor could be persuaded, he could return as Horde Exclusive or something. First outfit could be called...I dunno what the old name was, but first style could be "Stranded Griffin", new fortifications are discounted, faster fort carry speed. Start the game with a repair tool, Retro Lancer and either Gnasher, or Torque. Mmmmm...Breaker mace.....anyway, active skill could be some sort of aura, I can't think of what it could do. Friendly damage increase, restore health of allies and fortifications during the duration. His passive could be a power increase, either per kill or on pickup, and it could be 1.75 increase, or maybe even double. Anyway.....anybody have similar thoughts? Who would you like to see come back, and does anyone else think we need more Engineers?

    Hey gears. Is anybody else having this problem? I can't select certain characters on the COG side during ranked char select. They just flash and I cannot even highlight them. It's just the top and bottom rows on the COG side. Any suggestions?

    Servers are shitting the bed

    The servers are randomly kicking people off of matches. It has happened to me a lot the last few days. The last game I played it was randomly kicking different people from the game. I got kicked 3 times but was able to rejoin. We ended up with only 5 people total at the end. What's going on?

    My friend was in the credits of GOW3 and tabbed out and lost almost everything medals, ribbons, all skins (beside dlc) and is now level one.He went into a match and got a kill and it said "1 out of 200 kills lancer kills" he's tried almost everything and he deleted it and is downloading it back.Pls help

    Hello I am trying to finish some challenges and having a rough time with this I've played around 15-20 matches and haven't won any matches. I always seemed to get people cheating with input matchmaking and using keyboards(I'm console and have cross play turned off for ranks)

    I try to match make with skill but it's no luck I've only won 2 rounds ever

    Vietnam war and Gears of War

    I remember watching a behind the scenes of making the first Gears of War, and the developers stated the Vietnam war era was a big inspiration on the first game, on how they designed the weapons specifically. They didnt want it to be super modern with pew pew lasers, they wanted a grounded, mechanical, visceral feel to the weapons and gore.

    Now, has anyone else noticed how Vietnam-esque the new Hivebuster skins are? Green colour tones, less shiny metal armour, arms exposed for hotter climate etc

    Gears 5 we had snow and desert.. wouldnt it be cool for Gears 6 if it had deep jungle environments?
