I put this accessibility demo of Gears Tactics together before launch, thought you might appreciate my perspective on this rather different Gears game.
So glad To know how the Halo and shears community is so in sync with one another
I made DOOM Guy with his classic mini gun. Gears tactics has been a blast to play

The Gears series has always been known for it's amazing visuals but tactics and strategy games aren't usually the most graphically stunning games.

I have played about 3 missions and I'm stunned at how good this game looks, the character models especially. Everything from textures on armour to the glowing tracers and fantastic particle effects during battles are very impressive. Also the cutscenes deserve a special mention as they looks incredible.

I'm a huge fan of the Gears universe having played all the campaigns a ton and read all the books and comics. So getting some new lore during my favourite period (Locust war) of the franchise is awesome. Getting a mix of XCOM like gameplay within this universe is a dream come true for me.

Alot of thanks TC and splash damage I'm loving Gears tactics.

Tactics: Anyone else having issues using a controller on PC?

If I don't touch a button on my controller for maybe a second all the on screen prompts revert to displaying the keyboard inputs instead of the controller inputs - this wouldn't be so bad if it didn't also auto revert to the current mouse position, leading to lots of miss-aimed shooting and movement. This is rendering the game near unplayable for me at the moment unless I use kb+mouse which I don't really want to be forced to do...

This also persists even if kb+m are physically disconnected from my pc.

Anyone experiencing something similar or have a fix? I'm playing the Game Pass version with a xb1 controller.
