    Like...dear god it's in such a state that I'm getting triggered just thinking about it. Why in the name of heck were the campaign skins locked away behind the first Tour of Duty, wouldn't it have been better to just give them to us upon our first completion of the main story? And further more why lock these skins away behind each season and then make them unobtainable for people who don't enjoy the idea of grinding out randomly generated bounties for an entire month? It's one of my biggest gripes with the game, I got bored the moment I realised that I'd have to grind the same three bounties day in and out to get enough of those pointless stars for the one skin that I actually wanted. Everything else was just kind of meh at that point.

    Gears 4 had a perfect cosmetic system, promotional skins that could be earned in a limited time and a whole plethora of skins that could be crafted with the in-game resources. I honestly don't mind that 5 has an operations pass that gets you that specific season's characters, a few weapon skins and some Iron to splash about but who over at the Collation thought that this new system was going to be a good idea? I've been a fan of Gears ever since playing the first one during its initial release on the 360, I'm even still with a large social group that play Horde and Escape most weekends but everyone in that group says the same thing, this new cosmetic system sucks and needs to be changed otherwise there's really no point in the Character Customization screen other than to use it for toying with your Horde and Escape loadouts.

    Gameplay is back to its launch stage

    Gnasher is back to its launch with a broken hip fire, massive gib range and inconsistency.

    Lancer fire and camp is the go to gameplay style now

    Playing a KOTH game and the gameplay ha skits been fucked. They just scrapped months of good patches.

    Revert the Gnasher back to 4.11. If this terrible patch doesn't bet fixed I'm out.

    Ryan makes all these changes then as soon as he leaves we go back to noob land. Back to hard aiming and bot walking.

    No one asked for these changes. Seems like we have to learn the game once every 2 weeks and right now the game feels how it does at launch with its gameplay. This is very disappointing.

    MAP FEEDBACK - If there is any more map classics, at the very least change time of day from the last version of the map played. (example Fuel Depot: G4-night, G5-Day)

    Playing the exact same version of reclaimed, foundation and Dam honestly does nothing for me, I know people like those maps but i wouldn't care if they never got added in, change something noticable, if it can't be major like the terrain or style of the map then just change the time of day to the opposite of when we last seen it, foundation at night with lights everywhere would have been cool for instance.

    Gears 5 Escape Tier List (Updated for Operation 3)

    Hey all. I decided that after we got some new characters I might as well update the list. The list is assuming the map is random or equally favorable to all characters and on at least Insane Difficulty. If you have any questions on where and why I placed characters not directly mentioned please ask!

    Rank Explanations

    • S-Tier are borderline must picks and are very solid characters who do well on 99% of hives
    • A-Tier Are characters I would say in general are good picks but might be a little more player/map dependent, but still solid. Clayton can be quite useful once leveled to just soak damage and charge friendly ultimates. Cole is all around the best melee character in the game. If you like getting up close he's your man
    • B-Tier are in general ones I wouldn't recommend but have fringe uses such as beating a Master Hive with no shots fired, Emile would be quite useful there like I said last time, nothing has changed with him. With the addition of Cole Emile sadly got weaker but not enough to drop him a tier. Baird can be good if you have the proper loadout, mainly deebee weapons and his "bleed on hit if your ultimate is charged" ability.

    • C-Tier are characters I would avoid entirely on any higher difficulty. Marcus, although a nice addition to pad out the roster, doesn't do anything spectacular. His ultimate is lackluster and works better around sitting in one place in cover which isn't always available in Escape.

    • D-Tier is pretty much pure garbage. Grace's ultimate is just Sarah Connor's stun but melee only. She can't pull her weight in harder difficulties due to a lack of cards that don't suck. If you like melee focused characters she's quite literally the worst choice out of the 4 we have. Kat also suffers from a lack of cards and the ones she has are best used in Horde as an engineer. Her decoy has fringe uses but you'd be better off picking literally anyone else.

    We haven't really got far at all, because she's never really played shooters before, so im teaching her how to move the camera and stuff like that. I think she's starting to have fun with it and I plan on playing through the whole series with her. Will probably take a long time though.

    Did TC silently remove the Gears of War 4 gear pack viewing site?

    I was looking for the website for the Gears of War 4 gear packs to compare the Lieutenant Walker skin we're getting this week to the original one from 4, but upon trying to look for the Gear Pack site to view it I couldn't find it anywhere. Did TC quietly take it down to hide this kind of behaviour?
