    I don't get why just because you have Ironman on, you have to quit out to the lobby, wait for that to load, and then wait for the cinematic and then map to load all over again. Is there a reason we can't simply "restart hive" instead of the "restart checkpoint" that's normally there?

    So got back to back games where whole team quits. Love playing gears. Especially on ranked where it's better to turn off your xbox then finish a losing game.

    Gears 5 not nominated for VGA Multiplayer of the year award is a wake up call

    Now make no mistake, the VGA Is a joke and Geoff Keighly is the epitome of a 40 something year old virgin

    But even Gears 4 was nominated for best MP game back in 2016.

    It really goes to show you that NO ONE CARES about Gears multiplayer anymore, it can barely keep 150-200 people on Steam and on Xbox Live the game is at like..30th place?

    The single player in the game is great, but lacks polish. If the Coalition would just focus on an amazing and polished 12-20 hour SP game Gears 6 can easily by a GOTY contender 90+ rated game

    Polish the hell out of the game, get new animations for Gods sake and flesh out the open world segments. You can also focus on PVE modes, co-op, horde, beast etc

    They can always just make the Gears MP free to play or spin it off into its own game, its working wonders for Rainbow Six Siege right now.

    Been in a funk playing and a bit burned out. Was finally able to get a few friends to try and buy the game playing one shot one kill. Feel bad seeing as the mode is gone now and some just bought it. Is there still any way to play it or am I sol?

    We as a community have just experienced the better formula and the change implemented by TC's greed has blinded us with hatred. If any members of TC check these forums please inform your higher ups that this game is bad because it was allowed to fester like an infected wound. The fans will come back all you have to do is make all weapon skins available for one purchase. Lower all prices by 80% across the board, let people play what they want in horde. Listen to the pro's and fix ranked according to their suggestions, they made it to the top they might know how to balance the game better than you. As it stands this isn't a bad game, it is a bad gears game and it isn't beyond repair. If it isn't fixed by next operation though it will be your last and only chance to make money off of microtransactions, something is better than nothing.

    I've been grinding my 10 wins escalation medal (my last medal, lol) and I noticed some nice gameplay in that mode that other modes don't have.

    1st off, is that the lancer feels weaker. I don't know why, maybe it has to do with the different aim assist, but I've seen people have 1-2 people lancering them, and being able to wall bounce or run quickly into cover and not get downed. Seems it's a lot harder to land your shots in this mode with the lancer thus doing less damage.

    When you get downed, your body has a lot more hp compared to normal play such as from guardian/quickplay. It takes probably 2-4x more lancer bullets to kill a downed target, which is good. It gives you time to actually crawl away into cover to get picked up (Idk if u can pick yourself up in this game mode). Usually have to reload to switch to snub to fnish someone, and again, it still takes a lot more bullets compared to the gameplay you'd expect. It just felt great from both perspectives.

    Also, I love that you can execute yourself if they aren't killing you. It's always something I would think people would end up doing in gears games and turns it it probably was an issue in 4 so not sure when this feature was put in. But it's great if they are doing it to delay your spawn or being dicks bming and you can just kill yourself so you can spawn faster.

    so tbh would love all these changes to move to the other modes. there was a lot of gnasher fights in this mode compared to other modes I've played.

    BONUS: Most frustrating part about this game is the delay of running/cover/jumping. luckily, they are removing that. turns the game into less reaction and just randomness and who can camp harder. can't do aggressive plays. I was finding more success just doing right and left and just 1 shotting people rather than actually shooting 2-5 shots at someone with a gnasher.

    i3 6100 1050TI terrible performance on Gears 5

    Is this combination not good enough for Gears 5? I am getting so much stutter in campaign (situation becomes much worse after act 2) and I can only get 30~20 fps on average in the open while sometime in indoor situation I can get a 60 but when I look out it's dropping again. I have tried every setting from 720p Low to 1080p high but I get simliar result in benchmark.

    Is it my hardware not good enough or its my software?

    I saw this video on youtube and he's running the same set up as me so I want to figure out what's the problem.

    What’s the deal with how teams are created in matchmaking?

    So I'm currently onyx 3 in koth, and I usually only play with diamonds and other onyx players. However, if I don't play as a 5 stack, it's almost guaranteed that the randoms we get are no where near our skill level.

    I was playing in a 4 man squad last night and EVERY SINGLE GAME our 5th was someone who looked like they never played the game. Not a single one got more than 10 elims in a round and you could tell how new they were when spectating them. It was essentially a 4v5 every game and we were getting paired against 5 stacks to make it worse. There is something wrong when the 4 of us have 60+ elims and the random has 13. This has been an ongoing thing for weeks, not just last night.

    This happened in gears 4 too, but it was not the norm. Most of the time you were paired with people close to your skill level so 3 or 4 man squads were viable, but it doesn't look to be the case for 5.

    Are the numbers in gears 5 this low or is the matchmaking system completely broken?

    Im a GoW veteran been playing since the first one came out its been a while since i played the first trilogy and judgement but i just got gears 4 and 5 on pc should i go back and play the older ones even though i mesmerized the stories or just jump in?
