    Weekly Developer Stream Today!

    Where to Watch:

    When:

    • Starts at ~3pm PST
    • Lasts for ~1.5-2 hours

    Be sure to check for a stickied comment below. If anything changes in regards to day/time, we'll be sure to have that info in the stickied comment!

    Who:

    • Most weeks, Dana (u/tc-mjrdecision) and Liam (u/OctusTC) host
    • Occasionally Ryan (u/n0dezero) or some other developer
    • Andius (Community Team) works behind the scenes to run the stream/chat

    What:

    • The community team discusses any recent news and follows up with a Q/A session
    • Some streams have raffles or "click-to-claim" style prizes available!

    Submitting Questions!

    Currently TC looks at 2 main places for questions: The Chat and General community discussion. In attempt to gather some better questions that TC may be able to better prepare answers for, we are going to look at collecting some questions in this thread.

    Also note that this is not a thread that is officially supported by TC. We cannot guarantee that they'll see and/or use this. But we figure it's worth a shot. If nothing else, maybe someone else in the thread will be able to answer your questions!

    Just bought gears 5 on steam. I only want to play the campaign, however it is forcing me to log onto xbox live in order to access the menu. Is this a legit thing?

    Matriarch Fight...What Gives!?

    Playing through Gears 5 for the first time, and I'm at the Matriarch fight. I cannot for the life of me get past this damned thing. Every time, I'll get her to about half health, and she's finally doing that spin around spike attack, where multiple spikes are thrown all around her. I can never seem to dodge the spikes she throws at me either, but anyways, I get her to half health, and then I wither get hit with a spike and jumped on, or del get killed. I wish del wasn't there to begin with, because he doesn't contribute to any damage output anyways. So I have no clue what I'm missing here. I try to dodge her spikes but it seems impossible, I try to get her to run over the pools of water by shooting the ice, but by the time I do that, she already has her spike shit up, so she will throw a spike, or spin around attack, rather than run at me. Any help would be great. I'm playing on experienced difficulty.

    Your map predictions for Operation 2??

    I think they will need bigger maps for the FFA stuff. So here's what I think they can use the best.

    > Sand Bar
    > Jacinto
    > All Fathers Garden
    > Anvil
    > Streets
    > Aftermath (Gears 3 dlc map)
    > Artillery (Gears 3 dlc map)
    > Practically every map from Gears 2 Combustible or Snowblind map pack
    > Day One would be nice but I think is too small
    > Blood Drive (GoW Judgement edition)

    Horde Difficulty + Character Level.

    Assuming everyone in your horde game knew how to play their class and had appropriate cards for their level, what character levels do you look for when getting a team for horde for each difficulty?

    e.g.

    Beginner = 1-3 Intermediate = 4-6 Advanced = 7-10

    etc...

    Question about Gears of War 2 soundtrack

    So, I'm trying to get the most complete version of the Gears of War 2 soundtrack that's possible to get. It's turned out to be more difficult than I had anticipated. I easily found the official "Original Soundtrack", but a couple of other things popped up too - the "rejected score", which is interesting, but also something called "The Complete Soundtrack." I could only find this on one website, and couldn't find any mentions of it anywhere else. I'm not sure if it's a legitimate album or not, but there are some odd things about it:
    It's almost twice the length of the original soundtrack
    Some songs are combined (on this "complete" album, the track "welcome to delta" appears to contain the track "green as grass" from the "original" album)
    Some songs are slightly different (Hope Runs Deep is about 40 seconds longer, and has an alternate intro and outro)

    Does anyone know anything about this supposed "complete soundtrack" and why it exists? Are the extra tracks on it actually in the game, or were they composed for the game and not included? Any answers are appreciated.

    Iv been using him on advanced and elite, and the Longshot doesn't even pop heads in one shot passed wave 20 without having active reload, iv got the crit damage perks, granted there not lvl 5 but he seems so outclassed by jd or kait it's ridiculous

    misrepresented load times

    Gow5 ... It seems as if the game timer is there just for shitz and gigz. it will say the match starts in 50 seconds then i try to shuffle through the cards and the dumb ass game starts mid shuffle 2 seconds later... does this happens to anyone else?

    Why are the intro cutscenes unskippable??

    In a multiplayer game that has unstable servers and crashes fairly often, let me skip the opening cutscenes so I can rejoin in a reasonable amount of time.. /rant

    So I ranked up pretty fast, now I'm onyx 3. I've been playing against randoms on both teams so far solo queuing. Now that I'm onyx I've only been playing against 5 stacks with terrible teammates. Now I know that ranks are messed up to lower match times, BUT ID RATHER WAIT 30 MINITES TO FIND A FAIR MATCH WITH ALL RANDOMS AND RANK UP THAN PLAY 30 MIN WORTH OF 3 KOTH AGAINST STACKED TEAMS AND RANK DOWN 3 GAMES. No matter how good I am I'm sorry but one guy can't rush a hill and get kills against a 5 stacked team with lancers ready. Maybe other modes may work but KOTH is a bitch to carry
