- Wife bought me a replica lancer for my birthday. I'm proud to say when I opened it I said "something's wrong with this thing," and she's all "crap... What?" "It keeps jamming."
- I recently found out that my co-worker was THE dude who put together the packaging for the GOW 3 collectors edition. He made everything from the flag to the string that pulled out the flag to the metal cog to the box to the everything. These are the prototypes.
- TFW CoD has a better curb-stomp animation than Gears 5.
- They are now selling an execution that has been in the game since launch but for the boltok for 5 dollars.
- Been working on a project the past few days
- Please move the "duplicate characters" notification in Horde
- Pretty neat that the spooky imagos have MKII Lancers that we can use.
- The new horde event is great
- New Gut Kick Execution

- Quitters are demoralizing me. This has happened three times in a row where at least 1-3 people have quit for no good reason. I love gears but I need teammates to win & this is really frustrating.
- Horde Pro-Tip: Del is your Spirit Bomb - if there is one in your game, you must give him your energy to succeed!
- Gears of War is asking for questions related to matchmaking that will be answered during a Podcast with Nodezero (Multiplayer Design Director).

I'm always happy to switch if someone else wants my character but it feels like 9 times out of 10 I'll just switch to whoever the fifth player has picked, and it makes me look like an ass. | Posted: 29 Oct 2019 03:40 PM PDT It's action packed, 40 mins to beat, no deebees, full of fuckin sires, waves 8-10 can feel really overwhelming, just like horde should feel. And double bosses are awesome! Just the stumps feel out of place. Wish we could try it on other maps, this variant should stay in the game for longer. Oh, and only 3 trishots available per game! The award is also great - you get all the Halloween skins for completing it 3 times. [link] [comments] | ||

| Admire the Good that came with this game. Posted: 29 Oct 2019 01:50 PM PDT I can already tell that i'm going to get downvoted to hell for this but I want to say it. I feel like everyone is complaining way too much about this game. Of course there's a TON of micro transactions, but TC is trying give you rewards for effort, of course it's a ridiculous amount of work for such a stupidly bad reward, all of this is only cosmetic, and does not have any effect on gameplay. I remember seeing someone comment that the game was "Pay-To-Win" when it is far from the truth. I don't mind if people want to mention bad things about the game, criticism is in no way a bad thing. What I really want to address here is that I notice a lot of people complaining about a lot of the bad things about the game, someone of which who don't even try to acknowledge the good parts of this game. | Gears 5 really feels like they went for quantity over quality Posted: 30 Oct 2019 12:32 AM PDT Lets even disregard the issues that are still plaguing the game 2 months later One of the biggest parts of Gears 5 is that it has an enormous amount of content between co-op campaign, PVP, Horde, Escape and the map builder First off, ESCAPE FUCKING SUCKS, It could of been a cooler concept had it been Left for Dead style, got rid of stupid character abilities, made it 4 player co-op and being able any character. More importantly running through the same setting over and over again This version of Escape and the Map builder were not necessary. I would of much rather they brought Beast Mode back instead of this crap. I don't particularly mind Arcade but I feel that competitive Gears had to suffer to compensate for Arcade. Horde is still great, it would be nice to have an option for classic Gears 2/3 Horde but I actually enjoy Horde quite a bit. By far the best part of the game Campaign open world segments. Act 2 when you're going through the lab with Niles, and Act 4 are so God damn amazing. I don't think the game needed to have any open world segments. I would of rather Coalition focus on a stellar, well polished 8-12 hour campaign instead of padding it with a barren open world that servers nearly no purpose If you really want to extend the gameplay I would prefer something like Strikes or side missions like Xcom 2, where you can choose to these side missions, automatically go to the area and focus on more unique objectives and challenges. TLDR = Gears 5 has a lot of content, most of it is unpolished and unnecessary, quality beats quantity. Would prefer extremely polished, well crafted campaign over meaningless open world. Escape and Map Builders are a waste. [link] [comments] | ||
