| New things that old players didn't saw. Posted: 03 Jun 2021 01:00 AM PDT Is it me or there is a lot of people that have missed a lot of the updates that gears 5 has been through?. All along this sub and the gears community I've seen a lot of people not having idea of some game changing updates that have been in the game like: -The scorcher has been added to the game. -Locust and lambent being in the horde, normal horde. -Characters and classes being separated, now you can choose any character. -Now you can scrap duplicated cards. -Now you can buy skins and characters with an in-game earnable currency, gears coins. -Almost all locust characters being playable in versus, the only one's missing at this moment are the rager and ketor vrol. -Now you can play with mutators in the campaign and in versus. -Now you can progress in the tour of duty by playing private versus. -Now classes can repeat in horde and Scape. -Now everyone can build anything in the fabricator in horde and you can buy any weapon. -There is a new boss, the wakatu. -The locust sniper is finally in the game. -The game now has 19 different classes to play. -The del class, the mechanic now has a turret instead of the trackers. -All engineers have perks, and now all perks are cheaper. -You can play classic horde, like it was on gears 2, no classes, no fabrications, just weapon pick-ups. It is a new mode in horde. -Now you can change loadouts in private versus to play gnashers or longshots only, you can change Mao weapons for event guns like the golden gun or the clock shot. -River is finally back. -Now you need less xp to get allies. -Now you need less XP to get to the highest re-up. And a lot of more stuff I probable forgot to mention, like, people quit, with fair reasons, but they never even peeked to see what was new on gears, like, the game is not perfect, but it now has a lot of things that we requested and I've seen a lot of people seeing a post or something and commenting that they didn't knew that certain feature was not available in the game. All things considered, do you guys think Marcus or Dominic are more valuable to the COG, assuming they were on even footing and at their peaks, so, no old man Marcus, no unruly disobedient prison-worn Marcus, no desperate to break his friend out Dom, and definitely no post-euthanization Dom. I do that just to get rid of the outside aspects, because people tend to forget that Dom was a commando, and the books state outright that Marcus was a cunning leader who somehow managed to inspire people around him. | Posted: 03 Jun 2021 02:35 AM PDT Lets face it, the new trio just can't compete with OG Delta Squad or even Marcus/Dom/Anya. They has big shoes to fill and just can't. Kait is a stubborn brat. JD can't make up his mind if he's an immature Marcus or a almost as angry Marcus, while Del tries his best to be the best friend to 2 people so we get Dom vibes from him but he doesn't grow tomatoes. A way they could have saved the story at the end if having Del sacrifice himself to kill the Swarm Leviathan thing using Jack's broken beacon. Giving us those Dom feels, giving a small speech saying something like, "he lost his family when he was a kid, the Fenix Family took him in, he always felt like a brother, but never like a true family member until said time, yada yada yada, punches JD because JD was going to sacrifice himself instead, dies heroically, everyone cries, goes back to being a JD/Kait focused story.
