    TC should not remove the crossplay slider

    You'd think the fact that 40% of the playerbase disables crossplay would speak for itself, especially when you combine it with the plethora of LFG posts where people are specifically stating that they don't want to team up with PC players, or the more rare occasions where PC players are making an all PC stack.

    They are not equivalent, period. The FoV slider will help, but the biggest issue has always been the input delay, which while reduced on the series x/s is still about double that of PC (xbone is triple) with a close second being kb/m being far more accessible on a desktop PC (and the ability to play mouse/controller) than it is to use kb/m in your living room (and last I checked you can't even use mouse/controller on console).

    That's not even mentioning things like the point of aim for blind firing being center screen on PC and elbow on console, that a lot of monitors have crosshairs that can be displayed while TV's can't, the massive FPS discrepancy between a good gaming rig and an Xbox, especially an older one.

    If this is TC's idea of parity I guess we understand how they justified "more content, more often".

    At the very least give us the option to not match with kb/m players and force limit gears to a max 120fps @ 1080p, this STILL wouldn't solve the issue of input delay, which tends to be important in close games, but at least then we'd be 'close'.

    I was trying to make room on my Xbox and shrank Gears 5 which deletes the 4k textures and pretty much every mode so I had to reinstall them. Well a few days later realized the 4k made the game look great so I wanted the textures back. I figured uninstalling and installing again would download the 4k textures but it didn't.

    Any help or suggestions to get HD textures back? On Xbox One for context.

    Edit: I also have the original main menu not the Tomb main menu.

    Been playing lots of Gears 4 lately where the bots are great. Are they still annoying af in Gears 5? Thinking of reinstalling.

    In Gears 5, when I last played, the bots ignored the hill, and just ran across the map hunting down players who had just spawned to beam them down with the lancer.

    Gears 5 audio problems on Xbox One?

    I just started Gears 5 and immediately in the menu and opening cutscenes I'm having consistent audio stutter and cut-outs and the dialogue and lip-syncing are about 5 seconds delay apart. This problems makes fights very not enjoyable from an audible perspective. Is this common or is it just me? I'm playing on the original black 2013 Xbox One system. I haven't had audio issues with the past games so far.

    Cross Play will be turned off

    With Operation 7 Drop 1 we are introducing a Field of View option across all Xbox One devices, bringing console settings in line with PC.

    We will be removing the crossplay option across Gears 5. Currently, we see 40% of our players disabling the crossplay option, significantly impacting the matchmaking times for our players on both PC and console.

    With the field of view update coming in, the ability to plug a Mouse/Keyboard into your Xbox, plus the frame rate and input lag reduction on the new Xbox consoles we feel we are at a point where the parity between Xbox and PC is almost identical and confident enough in making this change going forward for Gears 5."

    I'm pretty sure that PC players have cross play on at the moment in order to be able to get into matches more easily.

    Console players usually like to play with a controller. How many PC players are there? How many players are there on the console.

    And how many are playing on their smart watch or phone?

    IF let say we have 50 % of the community playing on pc and 50 % play on console. That mean's that 80% of console player who probably turn the cross play off.

    Gears was first introduce in a console using a controller.

    It's not because I have an Xbox series X that I want to suddenly play "PC games" i. e using a mouse and Keyboard. Do I need to buy new accessories in order to be equal to the PC players?

    I would really like to know the numbers of people playing on what (og Xbox, xbox 1s, xbox 1x, Xbox series S, Xbox series X) and then know the numbers of people playing on PC.

    Then ask the console players this question, how many of you are using a mouse and keyboard to play on your console?

    PC does have an advantage over with the frame rate (240 fps) plus yes the mouse and keyboard is also an advantage over a controller. Like I said before it's not because can use a mouse and keyboard on a console that it's what the people are using.

    Will the Scene (Esport) will use mouse and keyboards? Will they play on PC?

    I understand for a number a reasons why cross play will make games start faster but for me with yes the cross play off feel really good for match making

    Maybe have another option. Mouse and Keyboard on or oFF and play against player who has controller.

    Audio for wrong characters

    I get this bug quite a bit where is seems like the voice lines for other characters come through my character. Every time I play as Hoffman I always get Marcus voice and voice lines. It happens with other characters sometimes to. Does anyone else have this issue and how did you fix it?
