    Just finished the Gears 5 campaign.

    From start to finish it was absolutely fantastic. The story was brilliant and the voice acting particularly from the main protagonist (Kait) was excellent. I genuinely enjoyed her as a character (a lot more than JD) and wish to continue her story. I loved the graphics and the level design especially with how they're more interactive now.

    The sound design is also great, the roar of that Barracuda/worm creature was especially well done. I also liked the upgrades to jack though I used 2 at most.

    Only draw backs I have is that side missions can be a bit grindy. I wish we could've expanded more on Kait link to the locust with how and why it happened. Some characters were a bit annoying (especially del) and I also wish we had more of those choice decisions like we got towards the end.

    All in all I give this game a 9/10, the most enjoyable Gears for me since Gears of War 2 and I really hope we see a Gear 6.

    Kilo squad Paduk

    TC were already super cool in adding classic Cole to essentials. I'm thinking maybe Kilo squad Paduk might also belong in there. He is technically the classic version of Paduk since that's what he looks like when he's first introduced.

    And WOW does Gears of War Ultimate Edition look and play good. I had only played Gears 5 before, and while it was entertaining the characters' relationships was unknown to me so I don't think I really "got" what was going on. But playing the first Gears is awesome: it looks incredible and the gameplay actually seems more creative and engaging than 5. Perhaps I'm just easily entertained, but if Gears 2-4 are half as well done as this it is gonna be great. For years I put off playing the Gears series as some kind of "dude bro" mindless shooter, and while it is that to a point the amount of thought the designers put into level creation AND the bosses really has made this a fun game. The first berserker level is a real puzzle, and you feel like a god killing the 2nd one.

    I just wanted to say I wish I had played Gears earlier.

    I want the old execution system back

    I wish TC would give us an option to execute foes with "Y" again, so you have two finisher moves for each weapon again. With that the option to change the first and second execution would be nice too. Maybe also give us a random execution option.
