| Just found out you can hold B after stunning a target to execute them Posted: 21 Apr 2021 03:05 PM PDT Was doing some escape and decided to do the typical melee combo of B - B - Hold B and I held B for longer than I meant to and it turns out your character executes as soon as possible if you do this. Felt really smooth. Didn't know this was a thing nor have I heard about it anywhere. Maybe same applies to picking up a meat shield (holding X after holding B). Likely really handy for people who play on laggy connections (not host) as often I see people stun combo and melee accidently instead of executing. This might fix that issue. [link] [comments] | ||

| Question about damage/health in Gears 4 singleplayer Posted: 21 Apr 2021 08:13 PM PDT Alright, so I've been a fan of the original trilogy (plus Judgment) since way back when they were released on 360, but only now got into Gears 4 via the Series X and Game Pass. I like the franchise but the buddy I'm playing with and I are a little bit... at a loss concerning the damage/health balancing in G4's singleplayer mode.Is it just us or does almost everything in G4 down you instantaneously? I think we've been downed more often in a single run of 4 than in several playthroughs of 2 and 3 combined. I mean I get being instagibbed by a Carrier in melee or being squished by flying debris or the chains in the dam but... enemy hits you in melee with even a sliver of health missing? Down. Snatcher touches you in melee? Down. Single Torque bolt? Down. Single EMBAR shot? Down. It just seems really weird to us. Is it just us, is there something we're not getting here or are G4's character actually just made of wet toilet paper? It's really weirding us out because we beat G2 and 3 on Insane but this game is kicking our butts even on Normal. [link] [comments] | ||
