    TDM has no place in Ranked

    TDM being played competitively comes down to this:

    • Secure the power weapons
    • Camp and try to get angles on people when you can without dying

    You can not play aggressively. At least not if you want to have the best chance of winning in Ranked matches at high levels. The mode is about depleting the enemy lives while not hitting zero yourself. This means that the best strategy is to grab the weapons on the map and camp. Want a pro tip for TDM? Hold onto the last bullet/shot of a power weapon and switch to your other gun. As long as you don't die or spend that last shot, that weapon will never respawn. You can do this with any power weapon in the game. And if someone is about to kill you then just switch away from the power weapon so that when you die the game will drop your other gun instead of the power weapon.

    It will be back on respawn if that happens. But if you do that then the gun won't drop and the enemy won't be able to grab your Longshot with 1 bullet and do the exact same thing you've been doing. You get to have your cake and eat it too because you get to abuse the weapon respawning mechanics and then when the jig is up you remove it from the game and force a fair trial by combat to see who gets the gun when it's respawned. Is this really the type of tactic that should be rewarded in any mode, let alone Ranked??

    Aggression is punished. Taking risks is punished. If you aren't in the lead then the match ends and you lose. So losers are forced to use aggression if they want to gain the lead again. But aggression is punished, like I said before. So whichever team is in the lead it's always in their best interest to camp and wait for you to become desperate and throw away your life. Gears of War is about aggressive gameplay. So forgive me for the hyperbole here but that makes TDM the Anti-Christ.

    This is a completely stale experience compared to something like Guardian, KOTH or Gridiron. And I didn't even get into the spawn protection. Sometimes you shoot a guy you didn't know just spawned and he just eats the whole shot and makes that invincibility sound and then you're dead.

    On the daily hives and hordes there are different mutators and it seems no one reads them. Today in the daily horde the mechanic class is useless as the fortifications cost mutator. I told them not to be mechanic, they ignored me and as soon as they looked in the fabricator realised the prices and left. Todays daily hive has unkillable wardens yet people keep trying to kill them. Its such a time waste queueing up just to have this happen. Surely its obvious to read the mutators? Or am i just being butthurt?

    Anybody else expecting a lambent horde event/more enemies this operation?

    I'm not getting my hopes fully up about it, but I just remember the trailer saw scion sized like lambent creatures that looked like it would come from horde mode so the community talked about the possibility of an expansion this operation a bit.

    It could just be the people making the trailer just making it look cooler, but it is possible. Anyone else think so?

    Hey y'all, looking to play all the gears series on a harder or even hardest difficulty after I finish gears tactics. I personally really enjoyed 4 & 5 not a real multiplayer fan might get into it if people think it's worth it. Looking forward to 6 and seeing what people think of the new games and how the next gen version might even look
