    In the past, TC has hosted some "presentation style" streams. They answered a few questions, but a majority of the stream revolved around them going through a prepared presentation or showcase. Some examples are:

    • Showing how maps are made
    • Look back at Gears 3 cinematics
    • Discussion of how Gridiron was developed

    What do YOU want to see?

    I'll still collect questions below (as normal). But if TC were to do more of these prepared streams, what topics would you like to see them discuss?

    Where to Watch:

    When:

    • Starts at ~3pm PST
    • Lasts for ~1.5-2 hours

    Who:

    • Dana (u/tc-mjrdecision) usually the host
    • Occasionally other developers will join - like a map designer, the PvP lead, etc.
    • Someone typically works behind the scenes to run the stream/chat

    What:

    • The community team discusses any recent news and follows up with a Q/A session
    • Some streams have raffles or "click-to-claim" style prizes available!

    Just post below to submit questions. I'm not gonna bother with a stickied post anymore...kinda a waste of my time. They can just read through the posts.

    As usual, they haven't announced a guest yet, so I guess just fire away with whatever questions you want.

    Gears of War Ultimate Edition PC night! 6th November 9pm GMT

    Join us in the Gears PC Community discord this 6th November at 9pm GMT for our returning Gears UE night!

    We will be using the #gears-1 channel for setting up games. Will most likely be using public match making to find games! Game modes will vary on community choice during the night.

    Region host will be selected on where the majority of players are in the lobby during the night. . Host will vary on amount of NA or EU region players that we have, to make it as fair as possible.

    Also be sure to use the Gears1PC role reaction in #role-selection to have a unique tag so you can be @'d for future Gears UE PC nights

    Currently TC looks at 2 main places for questions: The Chat and General community discussion. In attempt to gather some better questions that TC may be able to better prepare answers for, we are going to look at collecting some questions in this thread.

    Also note that this is not a thread that is officially supported by TC. We cannot guarantee that they'll see and/or use this. But we figure it's worth a shot. If nothing else, maybe someone else in the thread will be able to answer your questions!

    More new and unique locusts

    Ever since Gears 5 launched many known locusts like Karn, Raam, Sraak and supposedly Skorge. Can you imagine if The Coalition decide to add in more unique and name locust in Gears 5 from the novel or comics.

    I love the Gears series. The best third person shooter out there IMO. Played 1 and 2 on the 360, bought the books at the time, and now looking to experience Gears again on the XSX. I'm planning to catch up on the series from Gears 3 onwards.

    But I'm concerned about a few things. To explain, it's similar to when I got the Uncharted series on PS. While I enjoyed the earlier games, I just felt compelled to get to Uncharted 4 as I knew it was the highest quality. My gaming time is also limited and I felt I was playing the earlier ones for the sake of completion when I really just wanted to experience Uncharted 4. The final Uncharted game is significantly higher quality than the earlier ones. By the time I reached Uncharted 4, I was a little burnt out from the gameplay.

    So my worry is if I'll have a similar experience with catching up on Gears. I confess, I kind of want to play 5 first because it's optimised for Xbox Series X and am wary of having to play the earlier games just to get to it:

    • How much better quality is Gears 5 compared to its predecessors? Is it so much that playing 1 and 2 again will feel dated?
    • What about 3 and Judgement?
    • Or should I just prioritise 4 and 5 and then catch up on the previous ones later at my convenience?
    • Has anyone played multiple Gears games back to back? Did you experience burn-out?

    I'm very into collecting, and I've mostly just collected stuff like physical copies of games and other stuff related to games such as steelbooks and figurines. But lately I've been into filling my room with posters for my favorite series, and there's this big ass blank spot that's been bugging the hell out of me, and I've planned on putting a Gears of War poster there for some time. Anyone know a good place to find GOW posters to purchase? I've had no look in my own searches.

    For reference, I'm looking for large horizontal posters. Thanks in advance!

    Cannot Host Game Firewall Issue Please Help(Gears of war Ultimate edition on windows 10)

    when i try to host a coop game an error which says "Cannot host a multiplayer game because of your firewall settings. Verify your firewall's security settings" Keeps appearing i tried turning on and off my firewall and it didnt work i also tried to set the settings to the default but it didnt work i have no idea what to do please help

    Losing earned gold after returning to to the main menu?

    So this is the second time this has happened to me. I reached a new rank and I received like around 3,000 gold and when I returned to the main menu, my the gold I earned is missing. Is this an issue that others have experienced?

    Gears 5. Left or right?

    This has probably been done to death at this point, but I'm still going to pose this question.
    I'll also try not to give too much away in this post.

    Anyway, personally I chose left as this seems to affect more characters than choosing right.

    If you think about it, it's way more emotional and leaves a lot of things unresolved, therefore leaving a bigger wound than choosing right.
    There are multiple points throughout the story where there are past events brought up and certain characters are left hurt, let down and generally disappointed.
    Even though issues are partly resolved and attempts are made to make things right, choosing left leaves multiple characters devastated and unable to make up for the past.
    It leaves a wound that can never truly be healed.

    The same cannot be said for choosing right.
