| A new way to bring back old maps Posted: 02 Nov 2020 08:20 PM PST I know a lot of people don't like TC bringing back old maps but I know a lot of people like old maps myself included so what if we met in the middle. Instead of just copy and pasting the maps we've seen for 4+ years they add a gears 5 twist to it. Like winter checkout or a desert blood drive. | Posted: 02 Nov 2020 12:50 PM PST Why isn't it in horde... I get why the flamethrower that the game is ice themed but why isn't the hammer not in there.. Every game including judgement has had the hammer in its horde mode or multiplayer. The whole premise of the story is to get the hammer back online and yet we can't use the bloody thing outside of one chapter to fight back the heavy swarm bosses like the berserker with spikes. | Posted: 02 Nov 2020 08:22 PM PST The gnasher is completely random. Sometimes shots don't come out, sometimes you get 99 in 1 or 2, sometimes your shots basically go right through people. Most maps are designed to heavily favor one play style (lancer/defensive). Movement is terrible in this game for default players. You basically have to choose between playing on default and rolling everywhere because of the delay or playing the "defaulternate" (basically playing classic alt with buttons remapped) and getting stuck on walls. The times you do get into those 1v1 engagements where gears used to shine their brightest, most times it's just a random number generator. The only skill gap seems to be whoever rolls into the other player first and that's so lame to me. [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 02 Nov 2020 11:09 AM PST Okay, I know this might have already been discussed at some point given how long ago Gears of War 4 was released, but I just wanted to ask anyway. A part of me feels a little bit let down that we didn't get more Swarm enemies that were once Locust enemies. For example, how come only the Locust Drones were the only real connection between the Swarm and the Locust when you have other Locust enemies like Kanti and Theron Guards. Like, I feel the Kantus were just kind of forgotten and didn't get to be added as much as they could have been. [link] [comments] | ||
