| Good lore background for a new player? Posted: 29 Oct 2020 06:00 AM PDT So a while ago I got xbox game pass and I've been playing a lot of games that I've missed over the years, and seeing how great Gears 5 looks on the Series X which I have pre-ordered I decided it was about time I got into the series. I've almost beat Gears 1 Ultimate (Act 5 left) and it's such a great game! Wish I hadn't missed it until now. I've played tons of cover shooters that "copied Gears", but looking back mechanically they were all kinda trash compared to how smoothly the controls worked here. Now that I know I'll be playing the other games, I'd like to look into the Gears lore a bit. Knowing the halo lore has made me appreciate those campaigns a ton. I think I have a bit of a general idea from the first game, but I'd like to know more of the backstory. The thing is, I don't want the other games spoiled for me, and the lore recaps on youtube seem to include summaries for those games. Should I just continue playing amd everything will be explained? Or is there somewhere I can look to get some expanded lore? Thanks! [link] [comments] | ||

I usually go for a couple level 1 barricades and then once we have enough I get a locker and then after that just get as many turrets, lockers, and barricades as possible throughout the run.
