    In the past, TC has hosted some "presentation style" streams. They answered a few questions, but a majority of the stream revolved around them going through a prepared presentation or showcase. Some examples are:

    • Showing how maps are made
    • Look back at Gears 3 cinematics
    • Discussion of how Gridiron was developed

    What do YOU want to see?

    I'll still collect questions below (as normal). But if TC were to do more of these prepared streams, what topics would you like to see them discuss?

    Weekly Developer Stream Thursday!

    Where to Watch:

    When:

    • Starts at ~3pm PST
    • Lasts for ~1.5-2 hours

    Who:

    • Dana (u/tc-mjrdecision) usually the host
    • Occasionally other developers will join - like a map designer, the PvP lead, etc.
    • Someone typically works behind the scenes to run the stream/chat

    What:

    • The community team discusses any recent news and follows up with a Q/A session
    • Some streams have raffles or "click-to-claim" style prizes available!

    Submitting Questions!

    Check stickied comment for questions. They haven't announced a guest at this time, but I'll adjust topics to fit the guest whenever that's announced.

    The Rules: In order to condense the number of questions a bit, we have a few rules laid out. These rules are based on what we've experienced in the past, as we've started to learn what TC will and will not answer.

    • They don't talk about future content
      • Campaign DLC
      • Gears 6
      • Maps
      • Characters
      • Modes

    I'll sticky a comment to this thread to help collect questions.

    *Also note that TC reads the twitch (and sometimes YouTube) chats for questions when live.

    In gears 3 why did they pick Cole to play as when you are not playing as Marcus. Baird seems more like a squad leader than Cole

    Getting kicked to xbox home screen

    I've been playing (and failing) Mad Man's Monsters, and when my team gets wiped i select the Return to Lobby option. But when I do that, it resets the game and kicks me all the way back to home screen. Is anyone else experiencing this?

    UPDATE) Its happening a lot more frequently now, I just pressed the guide button and it restarted the game on its own

    Favorite eSports cosmetics of all time?

    Okay so this may be worded weird but just for clarification. I am referring to any Gears 4 and 5 eSports cosmetics from any Black Steel character to Chrome Steel character. This can also include any weapon skin from 4 and 5. A couple of examples for me are Black Steel UIR, Anya, Sam, etc. and Friday Fight Nights weapon skins from 4 and Celestial weapon skins from 5.

    Submitting Questions!

    Currently TC looks at 2 main places for questions: The Chat and General community discussion. In attempt to gather some better questions that TC may be able to better prepare answers for, we are going to look at collecting some questions in this thread.

    Also note that this is not a thread that is officially supported by TC. We cannot guarantee that they'll see and/or use this. But we figure it's worth a shot. If nothing else, maybe someone else in the thread will be able to answer your questions!

    It took just under 48 hours to render all the enhanced frames on my poor ol' laptop lol. I am planning to do this to all the old Gears of War cinematic trailers.

    If you know where to find proper high quality version of the Mad World trailer, please let me know, because the result of the upscaling will be much better without all the compression artifacts.

    Why is it that every game in gears 5, someone is afk, leaves in the middle of the match, or does both? I have never seen a video game with so many afkers and people who just quit. I can't even rank up because I'm constantly at a disadvantage.

    TC what the hell is this? Two of our teammates leave in the lobby, the game does not dissolve (I have more clips if needed) and we proceed to lose 3v5 causing me to lose rank??

    Why don’t the skins all show in the character customization screen?

    To clarify. Some will show up on my screen but be locked wnd say not purchasable.

    Others simply aren't there. Workout Fahz and wilds Mac for example is nowhere to be seen. I know I can't buy it, I just want to see the skins I missed even if I can't use them (can't find a list of skins anywhere so I don't even know what stuff I don't know. I want to see the Fahz and Mac skins is all)

    So yeah how come some skins show up despite not being purchasable but others don't?
