    I know this is topical, but do you think TC captured the smugness of how the Onyx Guards used to be like in Gears 3? I mean, they sounded differently, had lines purely that would belittle their teammates (Trading weapons comes to mind: "Hey give my shit!") and belittle locus that were downed.

    [Tip] Using Free Boost Effectively

    5 objectives per day. 3 days of free boost. 25 total objectives at double stars.

    Thursday. Free boost starts on Friday. This starts on Thursday. You can't play on Thursday after your new objectives pop. Save them for Friday.

    Friday morning/early afternoon Log in, beat your 4 objectives and your free reroll. That's 5 at double stars (5)

    Friday night/Saturday day Log in, beat your 4 objectives and your free reroll That's 5 at double stars (10)

    Saturday after new objectives Log in, beat your 4 objectives and your free reroll. That's 5 at double stars (15)

    Now here's the real trick. On Sunday you will receive free boost for logging in. You've already beaten your objectives. Wait for new ones. In fact, wait a few hours after new ones pop. (they pop at 7pm in my time zone. I wait until 9 or 10 to log in, but before midnight)

    This gives me a 24 hour boost as of when i log in.

    Sunday Late Log in, beat your 4 objectives and your free reroll. That's 5 at double stars (20).

    Monday Log in (at 7pm my time), beat your 4 objectives and your free reroll while you are still boosted. That's 5 at double stars (25).

    I find i can generally beat 3 to 4 of the challenges in fifteen or so minutes, so i make the time to log in even if only to play vs AI

    Nothing like loading up Horde Frenzy on Master to find nothing but a bunch of level 1s.

    I wish there was a way to keep people of similar "skill" to a certain Playlist for them or limit who can jump in the harder tiers. I know the level of a character doesn't indicate player skill but at least during these free to play weeks they can get seperated from general population.

    1 step forward - removing flash from loadout

    2 steps back - gnasher is fucked again (seriously what was wrong with it) and lancer with 10 more bullets is game breaking

    Don't tell me it's not. If you're playing at a high enough rank there is literally nothing but lancer fire.

    As one of the few people who have stuck around since launch, I think that'll do it

    Rather than remastering previous games TC should do the following

    Triple A games like Gears with a great story line should be made in such a way that every new game should have the storyline start from the very beginning. So you get to play the whole storyline on a new engine. It will certainly stop people asking for remasters and make each campaign exciting to play again. Of course the size of the game will be huge but with the every increasing broadband bandwidth around the world I don't see why that would be a big issue. It can be done imo but TC are too lazy to put in the work.

    How to play in lan or any multiplayer mode?

    Hi me and a Friend buy the Gears of War Ultimate edition today using the Xbox Game Pass.
    The Game runs normally, the problem it's to host any game.
    When I try a Xbox Live multiplayer the game just give me the notice that I can't play because my firewall configs don't allow.
    So I open ports on my router, turn off my firewall did everything that I can on my pc and router.
    And get the same results.

    So the other option is try the lan mode, that just don't work.
    Hamachi, ZeroTier everything that I try just don't work, and me and my friend spend hours trying to solve the problem.
    But all that we got was a message saying that any server wans't found.

    If Anyone knows how to solve this problem please help me.

    Do special executions with Lancer/Retro count towards their weapon medals?

    With the lancer/retro-lancer weapon kill medals, does anyone know if a chainsaw kill/bayonet kill (not just the mele but the full animation kill) count towards the kill medals? Or only from shots fired? Thanks!
