    Weekly Developer Stream Today!

    Where to Watch:

    When:

    • Starts at ~3pm PST
    • Lasts for ~1.5-2 hours

    Be sure to check for a stickied comment below. If anything changes in regards to day/time, we'll be sure to have that info in the stickied comment!

    Who:

    • Most weeks, Dana (u/tc-mjrdecision) and Liam (u/OctusTC) host
    • Occasionally Ryan (u/n0dezero) or some other developer
    • Andius (Community Team) works behind the scenes to run the stream/chat

    What:

    • The community team discusses any recent news and follows up with a Q/A session
    • Some streams have raffles or "click-to-claim" style prizes available!

    Submitting Questions!

    Currently TC looks at 2 main places for questions: The Chat and General community discussion. In attempt to gather some better questions that TC may be able to better prepare answers for, we are going to look at collecting some questions in this thread.

    Also note that this is not a thread that is officially supported by TC. We cannot guarantee that they'll see and/or use this. But we figure it's worth a shot. If nothing else, maybe someone else in the thread will be able to answer your questions!

    So I rediscovered GoW 1 yesterday with my friend. We played online with each other, but we were the only ones on the server. I made a post yesterday about it and generated some interest.

    So this is the post trying to get people back on GoW 1 for at least an evening.

    I'll host a game (because I'm gonna need that sweet host advantage) around 530 EST today. NO PARTY CHAT! Let's relive the glory days and talk shit to each other in game chat.

    I'll probably be on earlier too since I've got nothing going on today. Hope to see you all out there

    In case anyone doesn't already know (I didnt until yesterday) you CANNOT use the Xbox One HUD (or whatever it's called. The menu that pops up when you push the Xbox button on your controller) to invite people to games, parties, and everything else on xbox 360 games. You MUST use the xbox 360 menu. To get to it, press START and SELECT at the same time while GoW (or any xbox 360 game) is open.

    Disclaimer: made a post, but had to change the title from tomorrow to today.

    Edit: the original Gears of War is on Game Pass for those who dont have it.

    Edit 2: I'll be on for a few hours at least. Hopefully people in other time zones will be able to get on and continue to host games so everyone can play!

    I'm a silver 1 in koth I'm not a amazing player but a decent player been stuck here the whole operation. first game I play today I play a NRG pro with whole squad and my teammate quits first round. how does this make since for a matchmaking game???

    JD Horde Questions

    Does the skill card "Custom Lancer GL" increase the damage of the artillery rounds, or just the bullets? Same question for the perk you buy in-between waves for assault rifle damage.

    Other than that, what are the top 5 skills for master runs? (Currently running Razor Hail, Custom Lancer GL, Custom Boomshot, Launcher Capacity and Officer's Prerogative.)

    Actually managed to get top 1% in escape hives, but it only gave me one set of reward skins out of the 3 hives

    Gears feels fucking unplayable on Pc right now. Shots aren't registering cause the gnasher is bugged, people keep quitting ranked games, I'm in the US playing with people with 130+ fucking ping, the store is going to have the same items for another week. The ranking system is dog shit the matchmaking is worse pairing me with people who got the game for fucking Christmas and don't know a thing about gears but because they queued up for a ranked koth I have to play with dog shit teammates and a 5 man sweat team to go up against. The coalition hasn't done a what's up in 2 weeks (going on 3). I finished the tour of duty while having a full time job working 40+hours a week I used to come home and be excited to play it but the current state of the game at least for pc feels just awful. Time to put gears 5 down for a few weeks it's just not fun at the moment.

    Shotgun change in latest Tour?

    I apologize if this has been addressed already...in fact, I'd be surprised if it wasn't. I took a break from the game after the first tour. When I returned, there was a big update. Something is clearly different about the shotgun now. It reminds of me of the shotgun from Gears 2 when that game launched. I can't be sure, but it doesn't feel predictable and seems to favor down and to the left.

    Has this been address by TC? Are they going to fix it? I quit Gears 2 over this and I won't hesitate to move on if this doesn't get fixed. How do they fuck up something so fundamental to the experience? I'm pretty sure the shotgun is the only thing this community wasn't bitching about.

    Does sensitivity 28-30 have latency issues?

    A video of a pro gears 5 player mentioned not having sensitivity settings higher than 27 because of latency or lag or similar issue. Saying 27 was the sweet spot in this gears.

    So like the lemming i am, ive been at 27 for awhile. But i increased to 30 the other day and now im hitting many more gnasher hipfires and my kill rate is up way higher. Its crazy how a few adjustments improved my play. I like it.

    But anything youve heard to not having above 27 because of input delay? Maybe its occuring on his LAN matches, but not casual 35 pingers like me?
