    Weekly Developer Stream Today!

    Where to Watch:

    When:

    • Starts at ~3pm PST
    • Lasts for ~1.5-2 hours

    Be sure to check for a stickied comment below. If anything changes in regards to day/time, we'll be sure to have that info in the stickied comment!

    Who:

    • Most weeks, Dana (u/tc-mjrdecision) and Liam (u/OctusTC) host
    • Occasionally Ryan (u/n0dezero) or some other developer
    • Andius (Community Team) works behind the scenes to run the stream/chat

    What:

    • The community team discusses any recent news and follows up with a Q/A session
    • Some streams have raffles or "click-to-claim" style prizes available!

    Submitting Questions!

    Currently TC looks at 2 main places for questions: The Chat and General community discussion. In attempt to gather some better questions that TC may be able to better prepare answers for, we are going to look at collecting some questions in this thread.

    Also note that this is not a thread that is officially supported by TC. We cannot guarantee that they'll see and/or use this. But we figure it's worth a shot. If nothing else, maybe someone else in the thread will be able to answer your questions!

    This is exactly why we need a new rank system. He qued up with all brand new players to gears 5 and therefore got qued up against all other new players. Don't get me wrong GoldGlove is a great player but he was able to go from onyx 3 to masters in about an hour with how many points he would rake up each game because he had no business playing against people that were clearly way under his skill level.

    TU4 has ruined the only reason why i played this game. (huge PvE bug)

    i have been playing gears 5 since launch day, and i know most people had some problems with the microtransactions/Ranked side of things, but since i dont care about the cosmetics and i dont like to play PvP(i play Escape and Horde 95% of the time), i never cared too much...

    ...that was until TU4 where not only they broke 1 of my favourite characters(Lizzie crashing games), but even worse than that, they broke the enemy AI!

    If you try to use any kind of melee strategy and you get downed by an enemy, instead of the enemy shooting the other players that are still up, they will melee/shoot you instantly(this has not been the case since launch).

    This makes playing as any melee character in high difficulties not worth it. (also not worth the risk to get closer with other characters)

    I tought they might fix it, so i tried a bit of Arcade versus event and to make me even more depressed, the gnasher is not working properly…(PC player), i decided to wait for the next whats up to see if they mentioned any of this but...NOTHING!

    Escape is amazing(probably even better than horde) and it makes me really sad that i havent been able to enjoy it since TU4.

    (also for those who think i just need to get better at the game instead of complaining: i have 3days of playtime with lahni and have mastered all maps, so if that doesnt give me any credit to complain i dont know what does)

    Coalition tried introducing a new game mode "FFA" and it died under a month. They should remove the playlist and delete the 3 maps and use the space for new maps for the regular game modes like Tdm and koth. Thoughts?

    Playing horde and looking through all the maps i honestly can't say i like any of them. Maps like trench' Azura' River' Jacinto' Raven down and avalanche all had love put into those maps. What happen?

    GoW 5 Multiplayer Advance Movement Guide

    Hi All,

    I've been playing Gears 5 for about two weeks now. Little background, I've been playing Gears since the first release (I remember begging my parents to drop me off at Gamestop during Thanksgiving Break to buy the game). However, I haven't touched Gears 4.

    I am incredibly rusty, but still haveing a blast with the multiplayer. Surprisingly, its amazing how much muscle memory I had stored from my experience of the first three Gears games (I played all three religiously in High school).

    I was reaching out to the sub for an online guide, strictly related to Gears 5 in regards of Advance Movement with the gnasher. I'm talking about an in depth commentary, or literature, in the mechanics of; Wall bouncing, Wrap Around Shots, Cover Mechanics, Stringing/combo movements, and all other Gnasher movements I'm probably not thinking of when playing.

    Can Ranked be more about individual achievement?

    I'm literally at the end of my nerves playing Gears 5 Ranked.

    I know I'm not the best Gears player. In Gears 4, I was in that Gold/Onyx level. I'm average at best. But holy shit, why does leveling up in Gears 5 so hard? I've been stuck at Bronze 2 for about 2 months. If it's my fault that'd be fine. But losing close games (like, losing at the last 1v1 close) or having games where I do great mean nothing because one teammate of mine went 3-10.

    Hell it happened today. A teammate of mine went 3-14, going 1-8 in the first round. What the hell am I supposed to do at this point?

    The last match I had made me even more pissed off. I went 13-6 AND WENT DOWN. All because someone on the other team quit. So, in short, the leveling system in this game sucks and made me not want to play Gears anymore. I'd rather stick to the MCC and wait out for Doom Eternal.
