Status We have identified the issue and have a permanent fix in progress and we are currently working on the implementation. Once we are sure it is fixed, we will communicate the timeline for a rank reset. Note: Providing an accurate, reliable and enjoyable Ranking system is paramount to us at The Coalition; so, in conjunction with the next Title Update, we MAY turn off the showing individual post match results while we work on a fix. Can we please randomly switch starting positions at the beginning of each round? Posted: 25 Oct 2019 07:58 PM PDT As it is currently, the spawns are locked in to your specific character/position and do not move as the match progresses. That means if there's one really terrible sniper-hog on any Quickplay gametype on Vasgar, only that dude it going to be able to use the sniper at the start of each round. Please alternate starting positions, there's no reason for us to have a static starting position each round. [link] [comments] | ||
Competitive tuning from Gears 4 needs to be the standard for Gears 5 Posted: 25 Oct 2019 07:56 PM PDT It's the most balanced version of Gears multiplayer that exists. The rifles were in their proper place. They functioned perfectly as support weapons. You could punish players who were out of cover and you still did enough damage to help out an ally in a distant fight. You didn't get downed immediately when someone hit you with active rounds from a Lancer. If you wanted to down someone with a Lancer you had to be accurate and coordinate with your team to get angles and cross your target. You had to know how to space yourself properly relative to the enemy. Actual tactics, how about that! The Gnasher was the king of its domain and useless, as it should be, outside of its range. You had to be very close to be in danger from the Gnasher. If you didn't like it and wanted to play as a rifle guy, all you had to do was stay out of Gnasher range. [link] [comments] | ||
Is meat shield an execution in this game? Posted: 25 Oct 2019 09:47 PM PDT I've seen some posts here complaining about this not counting as an execution, specially for the RAAM challenge. Curiously, If you play Arcade and use someone as a meat shield it indeed counts as an execution. You can try it with a character that gives you an extra elimination for every executed opponent. GOW5 Horde is not very random friendly at all, GOW3 had best horde and beast mode Posted: 25 Oct 2019 06:24 PM PDT The fact that you can not create all fortifications with any character, or increase the level of fortifications that you can create means you must have a certain player be that character and know how to use that character, if you are going in with randoms most people do not use mics that sometimes means you will lose at an early level If you are that character it also means you will rely on people depositing funds since you are weaker than the rest and if you do kill enemies, other players can and will take your money That is another thing that needs to be changed, if you make a kill you should get the points, plain and simple GOW3 horde had challenges for bonus points, that huge robot you could control and beast mode where you were the locust instead of COG, not to mention the starting weapon variety [link] [comments] | ||
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I am starting to realize that online multiplayer is pure BS... Posted: 25 Oct 2019 05:32 PM PDT I have read so much on lag, kill-cam, lag compensation etc This made me realize something. Online multiplayer is not really in real-time. You are not really shooting at the enemy "where they are" you are shooting at their ghost in a sense. It really takes the fun out of it when you realize ping makes or breaks a game and it is NOT an even playing field. When we see the kill-cam, we are seeing what our game saw the character do. So even though they miss in the kill-cam, they hit our ghost based on ping. Anything you can add to this discussion? [link] [comments] | ||
