    Modern Warfare's way of unlocking new characters puts Gears 5's to shame

    In multiplayer, there are 18 characters to unlock.

    6 are unlocked by simply completing chapters of the campaign, the other 12 are by simple challenges. Some challenges are harder than others (get 500 kills) while others are very easy (play 10 matches).

    No bullshit, no hours-long grind to get you a SIXTH of the way there, no lock on having to focus on one character at a time and you don't have to spend an amount of in-game currency for the privilege of having to START earning that character.

    I can't believe a game published by Activision got it right instead of a game by Microsoft.

    8 years ago I carved an infected omen pumpkin for Gears 3. Being a parent now I have to carve dumb smileys but I still love and want to carve another one of these crimson omens again one year.

    TC idk what you're fixing over there but doing 50 waves of horde and not getting any xp or rewards is definitely not acceptable. How the hell have you not fix this yet.. instead give us some bs error message. What makes it worse is i dont even get it later. Even if i reset the game. This is so frustrating. Wasted so much time for absolutely nothing. Worse gears game by far. Watch me not get any of those xp or rewards ever.

    Does Gears 5 feel off to anyone else?

    This isn't a hate post but coming from gears 4 back to 5, 5 just feels weird. I am ranked onyx 2 in koth for gears 4 but silver 2 in gears. I know the ranked system is broken but tbh I'm trash at gears 5 and idk what it is. Does anyone else feel this way?

    Can we just admire at how good the Onyx Guard actually look. Since Gears 3 they just pulled off this badass vibe and I really can't wait to play as them again in Gears 5.

    TC said in last live stream that if people really want the old omen, they can probably bring it back. They said if players really don't mind not seeing if they have stim/frost on them and would rather use it despite that, then sure, they can do that.

    It was said very early on so I feel a lot of people missed it perhaps? I'd personally love to use the old omen.

    The game has been out for almost two months and I just finished the campaign... I've been working a lot and haven't had time to actually get on.. I'm curious to know who did you ended up saving and why? Also I don't understand why TC decided take this route in Gears, I've been playing since the first game and the only decision I ever had to make was which way I wanted to go "upstairs or downstairs"..

    Disappointing Gears of War League Viewership on Twitch

    I mean I saw that NRG vs Rec didn't even hit past 2k viewers in a league match and it kind of made me feel sad that it's not being promoted properly it's like they don't care for the Esport. The fact that a game like Gears of war Triple AAA title is getting similar viewership to Quake Champions League is unacceptable in my opinion. Especially the fact that this is considered a top tier match-up. Just wanted to throw that out there and see what else people think about it.

    Just some info for anybody who hasn't got this achievement when they should have, it unlocked for me when I booted gears up just now. It may be because I replied to TC octus' tweet asking for details of anybody who hasnt had it unlock.

    Hopefully it was a fix and it worked for everyone but if it was manually and you're reading this, thanks 😁

    Good morning / afternoon / evening to all.I write this post with little hope but, at least I don't keep the thorn.As the title says, horde offline, I don't think it costs you a lot of work to enable it, since it is clearly covered as is the Escape mode.

    I ask you PLEASE enable it, we are few, perhaps, those who bought the game, either physical or digital, but there are still people who do not play online and it is a `` problem '' (not to say otherwise) not being able to enjoy in that way without connection.

    So, once again, PLEASE enable horde mode in disconnected mode in an upcoming game update.
