    Being a Gears of War veteran and having played all the games as they came out, I will never choose Del over JD. It's not because I believe JD is better written than Del or anything but it's because of Marcus. The man has seen the loss of his home, lost someone who was a brother in everyway but the blood in their veins, watched in despair as his father turned to literal ash before his eyes, lost his wife not long after the rebuilding began. He even says at the end of 3, "What's left?" And is so exhausted by the burden being lifted off his shoulders he finally takes off his durag and looks beaten and lost.

    For these reasons I could never allow Marcus to have to hold the Dog Tags of the only one that's likely the only thing keeping him going, his son.

    Sidenote: I'll also say that the reason for JD being hated by Del and Kate is so stupid concerning the, "Peaceful protesters". If peaceful protesters start throwing the equivalent of a Molotov at you, they're no longer peaceful and JD was completely valid in authorizing lethal force. It was that or watch your soldiers burn alive. They could've chosen anything that made way more sense to have them despise JD but that was the worst justification to make Kate the new Protagonist instead.

    I'll tell you right off the bat, JD should die. JD should be the one to have canonically gotten his necked snapped my Reyna.

    Okay, hold on, let me explain. Obviously most people have chosen JD to LIVE, so let me give my reasoning here.

    It all comes back to Marcus. Ironically, most people chose to save JD because of him, but he's why I think JD should be the one to die. Marcus is a tragic character. He is beyond "war torn". He has had so much loss and anguish in his life that it is almost amazing that he is even mentally stable.

    Here are some Examples:

    -Mother was killed at a young age.

    -Father seemingly died, Marcus' attempt to stop this caused him to essentially be labeled as a deserter.

    -Best friend and at that point brother sacrificed himself to save him.

    -Discovered his father was not dead, fought hard to find him, only for him to disintegrate in front of him.

    -Wife died while bearing their second child.

    -And not to mention the multiple deaths of his brothers in arms in horrible circumstances, such as Tai.

    So yeah, Marcus has been dealt a shit hand quite a few times. Maybe your starting to see my point. Why should this trend of tragedy stop? To get his character full circle, I believe JD should die. In addition, Del's character would then be able to get some writing on the blank slate that is his story in the next game. I also think this would open up Marcus to be the protagonist of Gears 6. Which, in my opinion, would be fantastic.

    This opinion is almost certainly controversial, but hopefully we can find some common ground.

    It's constantly saying lobby isn't there after waiting forever for it to load and after a match it says please wait and that there was an error, anyone else having a shaky pvp experience lately?

    Icy Precision card is underused in Horde

    If you're not using this card in your sniper build, you're wasting the Marksman's potential.

    Allow me to explain.

    There are four weapons that the Marksman can use to be effective: the Longshot- an absolute must for this class-, the Markza, the EMBAR and the Boltok.

    The EMBAR, however, is simply a joke. In later waves, you have NO TIME to charge up the shot and the cards are pathetic. The Boltok is a secondary, so it's there anyways. I prefer using this in close range quarters when things go bad shit crazy.

    This leaves you the option of either using the Markza or using another weapon. If you use a weapon that is not a precision weapon, you're wasting all the cards and perks which are geared towards precision weapons.

    The Markza by itself is a decent weapon, but paired with Icy Precision, is fucking fantastic. Due to its faster fire rate and larger clips, it allows you to freeze bosses quickly. And if you're using your Ultimate, you can freeze bosses even faster if firing through walls.

    I've seen too many Marksman not using this card, which then leads to them purchasing and/or using other weapons.

    TLDR: Use the Icy Precision Card to make use of the Markza and vice versa, so you're not wasting your potential as a Marksman and precision-weapon geared cards and perks.

    When are ranked skins typically awarded?

    I know they're given out in the following season, but is it usually day one? I saw a comment today saying "expect to wait 2-4 weeks into next op before getting your ranked skins", I really hope this isn't the case. I hear a lot about delay and complication surrounding ranked skins, I don't use my onyx skins, but the ones I did have straight up disappeared. I finally hit masters this season, but as it currently stands the game is bland. I think I'm gonna wait till Op 6 drops before resuming play so I would like to know how quickly they've been awarded for you guys so I have an idea on what to expect.
