    One thing I liked about gears 1 maps was the eerie silence they had

    fuel depo had just a weird cricket in the background or something, with what sounds like a brumak scream sometimes.

    clock towerl had a bell that would ring occasionally.

    gridlock just had some wind you can hear at all times

    raven down had wind in the background along with what sounded like drones or wretches screaming sometimes

    mansion had the rain

    bullet marsh had rain + thunder

    just the maps had some character to it. something I enjoyed that I think suits the "dark" theme people always talk about.

    Gears 5 release date September 9, 2019

    .8 new multiplayer maps since release.

    3 new MP maps: Allfathers Arena, Pahanu, Reactor

    2 new 2V2 maps: Annex, Arena

    3 new FFA maps: Core, Pit, Nethercutt

    -11 maps (not included) are copy and paste from prior Gears of War titles-

    Compared to Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare release date August 23, 2019

    20 new multiplayer maps since release that's including regular MP, gunfight, & ground war

    9 new MP maps

    7 new gunfight maps

    4 new ground war maps

    -7 maps (not included)are copy and paste from prior COD titles-

    I love to play Gears but DAMN

    Bernie alive or not in canon?

    With the new characters dropping this week, and seeing a few people compare the Sam skin as being similar to Bernie, is Bernie still alive in canon? Hoffman and Bernie are my favorite characters and I love the lore and universe of Gears, so I figured I'd ask ab them and maybe start some discussions on them and other characters. Basically, some say that Bernie is dead due to the collectible showing her will. To me though, and it could be wishful thinking,but, just bc her will is a collectible doesn't mean she has to be dead. She could just as easily be sitting in some rocking chair doing Golden Girls type stuff while Hoffman has to show up to some of his military duties. Thoughts?
    Ps if there is a Golden Gear there could be a Golden Girl... maybe even a Golden Girls themed bundle pack w Bernie, Sam, minister Anya,and Sarah Connor......maybe not...
