Posted: 26 Feb 2020 04:30 PM PST Firstly, lets talk about the advertising The trailers were terrible, They made Kait look like such a butch lesbian in the trailers but she's nothing like that in the game. All we saw was this female lead but no actual content and story of the game until that story trailer came out. How fucking cringe was that billie eilish trailer, cmon TC. Who you trying to bring in, seriously. this game was all over social media, reviews and gameplay etc. I was excited to see Gears back on the map, its the best 3rd person shooter imo. most 3rd person shooters suck ass. They paid and promoted the game with people that don't even play the game. Dr Disrespect who hated it and called it shit. Ninja playing the first act on mixer after his platform switch. In the UK they had Mr Dalek JD (clickbait COD zombies cancer) and MrROFFLWAFFLES (he's a cool shill dude who plays COD Zombies) These people don't care about Gears and neither does their audience. This did however make people try the game and that's my second point. below. Why didn't that promote the actual gears guys like Razored edge and shadows etc. Game pass ultimate, everyone got the game for £$/1etc. Thats why the game had 3 million players in its first week. It's probably around the tens of thousands in the EU right now. In the UK black ops 2 at 2000 players had more players than Gears 5. Thank fuck for the EU servers. Thirdly, the game had so much potential to take Gears out of its niche bubble, and it did, until people realised that this game has no content. No skins to earn, and the poorest launch roster for characters compared to 3 and 4. 6 months in and the game is better, I've had tonnes of fun but the issues that made and still make it difficult just shouldn't exist. You had Gears 4 to learn from. 3 years perfecting the weapon tuning, why toss that all aside in 5 ? My idea is that its for this noob crowd that come in but that created a lot of issues. High gib range and OP lancer. TDM in 5 is boring and slow, it's just not fun. Now history repeats itself in 5 and this has delayed operation 3. In Gears 4 we got 2 maps a month for a year. Since this game launched we have had 2 maps added in as real content. They ported over Gears 4 maps because of how low the map count was. Microsoft rushed this game as a service, this game needed time as TC isn't the greatest dev team. all they get praised for in the reviews are ppl that play the campaign and leave. Im just so disappointed with the direction things have gone. As a Community we give TC a lot of shit that's somewhat unnerved but at the same time TC bring it upon themselves. | Game is now boring after reaching General in TOD Posted: 26 Feb 2020 08:04 AM PST I haven't read why they extended the season 4 more weeks to make it 16 but I just finished getting to general rank in TOD over the weekend. I pressed pretty hard the last couple weeks to get it done before the end. Now I have nothing to work on for 4 weeks and getting the daily stars do nothing for you. | Questions regarding Escape x4 XP this weekend Posted: 26 Feb 2020 11:47 PM PST Will the single day boosts be awarded even if you're running boost already? Otherwise I feel kinda "betrayed" a bit by 3 days if not (activated a 100 day boost a couple days ago). This question will answer itself tomorrow anyways. Other one, does anyone know how character XP are actually calculated? Even with boost I wasn't able to really tell that I got the exact amount of XP shown in match results and definitely not x2 of that amount. It was something like x1.25. | Posted: 26 Feb 2020 02:20 PM PST I'm sure someone has brought this up at some point, but i think a variation of Search and Destroy would work in Gears 5. It can either be a neutral bomb or one side starts with the bomb and heads to one of 2 placement sites. Or it could be only one placement site. Whatever works the best. They could also add in the weapon placements between round like they do with escalation. I think this would be a nice twist to execution and also give us something to watch other than escalation at the events. Thoughts? [link] [comments] | ||

But the community for it is basically dead, on Xbox I was able to get a few match but here on PC I can't find a single one ever. I'm attempting to get has close to 240fps as possible, to fully use my 240hz monitor. Generally I see 100-140ish depending on the map. Exhibit provides the best FPS by far, 120-170. Maps like icebound are usually stuck at 100fps. Does anyone regularly attain these higher frame rates 150+ on most maps? What are the specs of your PC? Graphics settings? [link] [comments] | ||
