    Anyone know what setting affects hair quality? (Gears 5 PC)

    Have been playing for a while, and I recently switched to PC and I noticed that the hair quality changes drastically. Beards are way too see through and hair doesn't get affected by lighting.

    What Tactics does in spades better than Gears 5

    The short answer: PVE.

    Up until tactics released I was of the mind that Horde in Gears 5 was a mostly solid entry on the PVE front. And while escape may not be for me personally, it DEF has it's own dedicated player base. I thought the transition to "heroes" with each character having a dedicated class with their own unique traits and skill cards was a REALLY nice way to shake up the formula. Although I will def say that thus far the attention to detail with balancing def leaves a lot to be desired. Plain and simple there is A LOT more they can do with basically all of the heroes we have so far to actually make them feel unique in terms of their classes and sought after playstyles. But so far the little "love" we get on the PVE side of Gears 5 seems to be content to just be number tuning. To each their own I guess.

    Enter Tactics. Like Gears 5, Tactics ALSO sought to give their heroes designated classes and playstyles. Only the team that handled tactics ACTUALLY created unique playstyles with interesting builds for their heroes. Which feels REALLY weird to say because to a certain degree the team that worked on tactics is the same team that worked on 5. Again to a certain degree, huge props to Splash Damage on the game. But staying on track it is really easy to make a case in tactics that each class actually FEELS and plays differently. You can't really say that about what we have in Gears 5.

    And that's just half of the picture too. The missions and mission types in tactics are already fun as they are in a turn based tactical game....but image how much fun they'd still be in the standard 3rd person shooter format we've all grown up on here? How cool would it be in 3rd person to have to run full speed looking for gear with a wave of nemacyst blowing everything up behind you? Or running through maps saving civvies from torture pods? You get the idea.

    And I am now just getting to the best thing tactics has over the main series. The character and weapon customization. Now this feature is the big one A LOT of us are asking for to be ported over....and I will add this one to that growing list of players asking for it. I don't realistically think they can do anything to add such a feature to Gears 5 but there is NO reason why such an amazing staple of Gears tactics SHOULDN'T make its way to Gears 6. They have the technology to make it happen and they DAMN sure have the talent within the Coalition. Our guys and girls over there are good enough to pull this off.

    Going to end this with a true and long answer: Gears Tactics is the first Gears of War game that we've ever had that gives players a chance to potentially create a brand new character with the players likeness....which in turn gives us a brand new experience of FEELING like we can experience these adventures as ourselves. Creating characters is not new. And we all love and adore the characters of Gears. But being able to join in this world that we've been gaming in for over a decade as a character that we create and customize could be something REALLY special in a main series Gears of War title.

    Make this happen.

    Modding Gears Tactics!

    Alrighty, so as many people have wondered if you could ACTUALLY mod Gears Tactics, well, you can!

    Right now it's pretty "simple" stuff, but hopefully more cool stuff will come!

    The first mod in the directory is "Yeetable Grenades" and, well, yeah... You can just throw nades across the map like an absolute unit!

    Hopefully more people join in and we can create some neat things!

    I reached the fight. Everything was going well but then I could not switch characters, by TABing or clicking the profiles. So I restarted the encounter and after about 2 rounds it got stuck again. And again after restarting from desktop. I can't do the boss mechanics if I can't switch characters to make him turn. I'm about to give up on this game altogether. Anyone encountered this?

    So, anyone else run into this problem? Sometimes characters will just refuse to move, it'll start with one, then two, then suddenly everyone is *near* the evac point but cant move it to, then get blasted by drop bombs.

    it's annoying to have to keep restarting a missions.

    Reset cog tags gears 2

    Playing through with with my friend who has never played gears 2. I have all the cog tags which don't show up for me since I have them. Any way to reset them or something so I can help him find them? I don't want to use the internet to find them because it's more fun to look lol. Any help is appreciated
