    Weekly Developer Stream Today!

    Where to Watch:

    When:

    • Starts at ~3pm PST
    • Lasts for ~1.5-2 hours

    Be sure to check for a stickied comment below. If anything changes in regards to day/time, we'll be sure to have that info in the stickied comment!

    Who:

    • Most weeks, Dana (u/tc-mjrdecision) and Liam (u/OctusTC) host
    • Occasionally Ryan (u/n0dezero) or some other developer
    • Andius (Community Team) works behind the scenes to run the stream/chat

    What:

    • The community team discusses any recent news and follows up with a Q/A session
    • Some streams have raffles or "click-to-claim" style prizes available!

    Submitting Questions!

    Currently TC looks at 2 main places for questions: The Chat and General community discussion. In attempt to gather some better questions that TC may be able to better prepare answers for, we are going to look at collecting some questions in this thread.

    Also note that this is not a thread that is officially supported by TC. We cannot guarantee that they'll see and/or use this. But we figure it's worth a shot. If nothing else, maybe someone else in the thread will be able to answer your questions!

    I didn’t buy/unlock Baird or Locust Drone, yet I get a 3 star challenge for ToD, why? You shouldn’t receive challenges for characters you don’t own.

    I'm enjoying a lot of things, so far...

    • Free for All.

    • Baird and his lines, theres' a great one about "i'm just like cole" but I forgot what it said.

    • Lizzie and her lines! One of her respawn lines is "Oh my god they killed Carmine!" among other hilarious stuff, her laugh emote is the best.

    • The movement feels GREAT!

    • Having stuff to unlock in Tour again!

    So, was running round Lift and checking out the new version of the map ( which I really like actually) and noticed that by around wave 4-5 I was sitting pretty with around 15k power. Now I hope this is a feature and not a big bad bug.

    Just because OP2 comes out today, does not mean it will be fully operable. Not here to shit on TC, but given their track record, I would say it's safe to assume some aspects of today's update will not be fully functional. If we go in expecting things to be nonfunctional, maybe it will thwart the potential anger for some individuals.

    I didn't realize how much I don't want to play escape until I started to try and earn characters

    This mode was fun at launch but I just got so bored with it... It's unfun at low difficulties and unfun at high difficulties. No way am I playing like 30 escape matches for two characters

    Can we pleaze remove these from the pool? Its idiotic. You keep adding maps to the game and i can't ever play the maps i need to. Such a worthless and redudant grind. What are we going to do when another 12 maps are in the game?

    PSA: If your update is stuck on 0,0% hard reset your console!

    As the title says; the update was stuck on 0,0% for a few minutes and I saw a few other people here having the same problem. Just hard reset your xbox by holding down the console's power button and then turn it on again when it's fully powered down. It will then automatically start downloading when it's back on!

    With Operation 2, I have more than a few good executions for the pistols. A chance to also allow other weapons to use them.

    Got a "Complete a Free for All Versus Match" Challenge that I cant complete, already played like 10 matches and nothing happens.

    Another quality patch by TC, hands off to you guys. That plus the stutering and choppyness post patch, this is a great comeback for Gears 5.

    Oh, and lets not talk about the ridiculous "Complete 6 Chapters of Escape on Insane" for a total of 3 stars, and horde alike.

    1 Step Foward, 6 Step backs, another nail to the Gears franchise coffin.
